Born in Istanbul in 1962, has started to ride horses in 1973 in Sweden She has been a show jumping trainer since 1996. Selmin graduated from Bogazici University in Istanbul in Business Administration and afterwards went to Sweden and finished her Master's Degree in Computer and Business Studies at Sweden's Lund University. She was selected to represent the Turkish National Equestrian Team in 1995. She started to work as a trainer in Sipahi Ocagi and completed the Level 1 FEI Coaching Course in March 2006. Since May 2006 she has been working as a full time trainer in S.I.E.C.
