A Foot-to-the-floor finish at Arezzo Italy yesterday evening
(Saturday) saw Mayo's Cameron Hanley snatch victory in the big jump-off class by just tiny fractions of a second.Riding Sevil Sabanci and Gerry Mullins's nine year-old stallion SIEC Livello, the 34 year-old Hanley saw off strong challenges from Brazil's Pedro Costa and France's Julien Epalliard in the 13-horse jump-off, and at the end just a third of a second separated the top three finishers. However, it was the Mayoman who showed the vital edge, and who took home the 5,000 euro prize purse.
