CAMERON HANLEY JUMPED IN BALVE
Between 11-14 June 2009, In Balve (Germany) riders gathered for Dressage and Show Jumping events in International Arena for the First time as Balve Optimum CSI3*. SIEC Team rider and the member of Irish National Team Cameron Hanley took S.I.E.C. Coranada, Quiet Ruffy and Southwind VDL to the show in Balve.

The very first day at the show with the young horse Q Ruffy Cameron won the 1.35m class among 40 starters finishing the course in 55,49 sec with a clear round. On Saturday at 1.35m class, he was in the 8th place crossing the finish line 56,53 with a clear round. German rider Mikael Kölz on Lexus placed first. 41 riders jumped fort he 1000 Euro Prize Money in the Young Horse Class The next competition, 1.50m class which is a qualifier for European Championship 2009, at the same time, qualifier for the World Cup of 2010, with 50.000 euro prize money, Cameron on Southwind VDL had a clear round in the jump-off finding his place at 7th in the ranking. Japanese rider Taizo Sugitani with Avenzio was the winner of the class stopping the time at 33,98sec. On the last day at Balve; Q Ruffy and Cameron was the fastest 3rd rider among 37 starters. The winner was the well-known German rider Christian Ahlmann on Conterno (28,32/0), Andrea Thieme and Eisprinz took the 2nd place. (29,40/0)

Cagri Basel and LB Prevail, the new combination of European Championship for Young rider placed 4th in the Young Rider Grand Prix Qualifier (1.40-1.45m)of Hagen on Friday (!2.05.2009) with only 1 time fault in 48,63 sec in the jump-off. German rider Sarah Nagel-Tornau on Cascavalle NT was the winner of the class. (52 starters)

Sevil Sabanci on S.I.E.C. Preferro finished the Small Tour Final in Romania (CSI2*-W, 4-7 June 2009) with 2 time penalties and placed 5th where Ivelin Valev (BUL) on Vasco 4 places 1st as he had the only clear round among 21 participants. SIEC Team rider Sevil Sabanci also competed with S.I.E.C. Comet coming out with 4 penalties in time. 2 star show in Romania finished with Grand Prix which is 1.50m height.

S.I.E.C. Team rider Gerry Flynn on 7 year old Mare S.I.E.C. Vita placed 2nd in Youngster Tour (Ceahlau Trophy , 1.35m-140m) on the last day of CSI2*-W at Piatra Neamt (Romania). In order to make contribution in the development of equestrian sports, to give experience to the riders in different environments, S international Equestrian Centre welcomed Gurman Equestrian Sport Club which was the first club returned after the declaration of SIEC for clinics all over Turkey. For three days, in jumping discipline 14 riders with 20 horses trained with the experienced instructor and S.I.E.C. Cedric Triolet.

This morning at CSI 3* Cortina, Sevil Sabanci, riding SIEC Aristo, finished 3rd in the 1.30m class, in a field of 30 competitors. This result qualifies Sevil for one of 10 places in the Final of the 1.30m category which will be contested on Sunday. At CSI 3* Cortina Sevil jumped clear rounds in all three opening competitions. Riding SIEC Oberon in the 1.15m speed class, Sevil finished with a clear round in 13th place. In the following class, again a speed class over 1.20m obstacles, Sevil, riding Casall was again clear and finished in 7th place. On the 3rd day of European Children Championship, Turkish Team took the 3rd palce in the team competition. Great Britian took the 1st and Italy took the 2nd place after the jump-off between Turkey and Italy for the second place.
