VICTORY OF TURKISH RIDERS IN ROMANIA CSI2*-W & BALKAN TOUR
VICTORY OF TURKISH RIDERS IN ROMANIA
Between 5-7 June 2009 in Piatra Neamt CSI2*-W, Turkish National Team and individual riders rode in Small Tour, Balkan Tour (2nd Leg) and Nations Cup Team competition and they returned with a great success.

Turkish riders Armağan Ozgorkey, Avni Atabek, Efe Siyahi, Eyup Soyel, Filip Armam, Husnu Dinc, Izzet Aboresi, Ulkan Delikan, Sencer Horasan and Sevil Sabanci participated in the show during the weekend In Balkan Tour (1.40m) Sencer Horasan riding Lavaro was among the 11 riders who qualified fort he jump-off. With 42,41 sec he is placed 2nd. Auro Cojocariu from Romania riding Duende was the winner of the Balkan Tour. Turkish rider Filip Armam on Lancelot was in the 4th place. On the Second day; Filip Armam on Oscar finished the Small Tour (1.30-1.35m) in the 5th place. Sevil Sabancı on S.I.E.C. Preferro placed 8th and Efe Siyahi on Aragon placed 10th. Probably the most excited competition of the day was the Nations Cup of Romania in which 4 teams, Turkey, Bulgaria, Romania and Hungary competed. Team Turkey was the only team which was clear in both rounds over 1.45m and deserved the first place. Hungary took the second place with a total of 8 points.3rd place went to Team Bulgarian with 17 penalties. The total prize of the Nations Cup was 12.000 Euro. In the two phases class which is 1.35-1.140m.; Sencer Can on Lavaro who is also the team member of the Nations Cup Champion Turkey; finished the second phase in 36,96 sec and won the class at Piatra Neamt. Another Turkish rider Filip Armam was 3rd with Oscar. On the last day at the Small Tour (1.35m-1.40m)final SIEC Team rider Sevil Sabanci placed 5th on S.I.E.C. Preferro with only 2 time faults. Ivelin Valev from Bulgaria was the winner of the class. Efe Siyahi on Promis Me Gold, found his place at 8th. Grand Prix of Romania was full of contest among the riders for thw 15.00 euro prize Money. 12 out of 30 riders, qualified for the jump -oof. Ivelin Valev (BUL) won the Grand Prix on Equitta with 35,23 sec. SIEC Team rider Gerry Flynn on S.I.E.C. Janico plced 3rd. Sencer Horasan (TUR) on Lavaro was 4th and Avni Atabek (TUR) Walthery was 5th and Ulkan Delikan was 6th in the Grand Prize.

European Championship for Juniors and Young Riders that will be held between 1-5 July in Holland.

SIEC Team rider and head coach Gerry Flynn on S.I.E.C. Janico has a clear round in the jump-off in 37,12 sec and took the 3rd place. Bulgarian rider Ivelin Valev who is also the winner of the previous class (Small Tour Final) had the only clear round on Equitta and placed 1st among 25 riders. more...
Sevil Sabanci on S.I.E.C. Preferro finished the Small Tour Final in Romania (CSI2*-W, 4-7 June 2009) with 2 time penalties and placed 5th where Ivelin Valev (BUL) on Vasco 4 places 1st as he had the only clear round among 21 participants. SIEC Team rider Sevil Sabanci also competed with S.I.E.C. Comet coming out with 4 penalties in time. 2 star show in Romania finished with Grand Prix which is 1.50m height.

S.I.E.C. Team rider Gerry Flynn on 7 year old Mare S.I.E.C. Vita placed 2nd in Youngster Tour (Ceahlau Trophy , 1.35m-140m) on the last day of CSI2*-W at Piatra Neamt (Romania). SIEC rider Derin Demirsoy on Surprise won the 1.40m Junior Grand Prix on Sunday 19th among 28 junior riders. With 8 riders Derin moved on to the jump-0ff and cross the finish line with tha fastest time. With 37,48 sec Derin left Australian rider Stefanie Bistan on Carrera behind in the 2nd place. In order to make contribution in the development of equestrian sports, to give experience to the riders in different environments, S international Equestrian Centre welcomed Gurman Equestrian Sport Club which was the first club returned after the declaration of SIEC for clinics all over Turkey. For three days, in jumping discipline 14 riders with 20 horses trained with the experienced instructor and S.I.E.C. Cedric Triolet.

Gerry Flynn on S.I.E.C. Janico were the last to go in the jump-off and they had a clear round in fastest time (38,7). This morning at CSI 3* Cortina, Sevil Sabanci, riding SIEC Aristo, finished 3rd in the 1.30m class, in a field of 30 competitors. This result qualifies Sevil for one of 10 places in the Final of the 1.30m category which will be contested on Sunday. At CSI 3* Cortina Sevil jumped clear rounds in all three opening competitions. Riding SIEC Oberon in the 1.15m speed class, Sevil finished with a clear round in 13th place. In the following class, again a speed class over 1.20m obstacles, Sevil, riding Casall was again clear and finished in 7th place. On the 3rd day of European Children Championship, Turkish Team took the 3rd palce in the team competition. Great Britian took the 1st and Italy took the 2nd place after the jump-off between Turkey and Italy for the second place.
