Cagri Basel, Derin Demirsoy and Yusuf Huysal, On the Way to European Championship for Juniors and Young Riders
SIEC Team rider Çağrı Başel, Junior rider Yusuf Huysal and SIEC rider Derin Demirsoy was at Wierden “Dutch Youngster Festival” last weekend for qualifications of
European Championship for Juniors and Young Riders that will be held between 1-5 July in Holland.

‘Dutch Youngster Festival’ (3-6 June) embraced junior, young and pony riders from 15 countries. The first day, Derin and Yusuf participated in Hans Brugman Prize International Juniors Class (1.30m). Derin on Rusty put one fence down in 77,29 and Yusuf on Aktor got 5 penalties in 84,02 sec. Maiken Van Mierlo from Netherlands, riding Ukendy finished the jump-off in 30, 04 sec and deserved the first place.
On Thursday, Derin and Yusuf jumPed in the Big Tour (1.35m)to be qualified fort he Junior Grand Prix. On Arthur Yusuf finished the class with 9 penalties and Derin on Surprise put 2 fences down finishing with 8 penalties. Irish rider Robert Harrison on Unlimited won the class with a clear round in 39,49 sec.
SIEC Team rider Çağrı Başel rode LB Prevail at the show in Wierden for the ticket to European Championship. In 1.40m class, which is a qualification for the Grand Prix of Young riders, Cagri finished the course with 5 penalties 4 for jumping an 1 for exceeding the time allowed. Linn Widmar on Wilson completed the course in 41,46 sec with 4 penalties getting the first place among 46 starters.
The same day in Junior Class; Derin on Rusty took the 3rd place in 1.40m class where German rider Victoria Klatte on Can Be Cood placed first and Boy Peels on Quintessence placed second. Turkish rider Yusuf Huysal on Arthur had a clear round in 69,93 and placed 8th.
On Friday Cagri on LB Prevail was again in the Arena for the qualification of Young Riders European Championship. In the second Round Cagri finished the course in 64,72 sec with 4 penalties putting him in the list of riders that qualified fort he Championship in Holland.
The very last day of the show Derin Demirsoy rode Surprise in the Grand Prix for Juniors and finished the class with 9 penalties. Sjaak Sleiderink (NED) with Lasha got the trophy with a clear round in 34,34 sec in the jump-off.
SIEC Team rider and head coach Gerry Flynn on S.I.E.C. Janico has a clear round in the jump-off in 37,12 sec and took the 3rd place. Bulgarian rider Ivelin Valev who is also the winner of the previous class (Small Tour Final) had the only clear round on Equitta and placed 1st among 25 riders. more...
Sevil Sabanci on S.I.E.C. Preferro finished the Small Tour Final in Romania (CSI2*-W, 4-7 June 2009) with 2 time penalties and placed 5th where Ivelin Valev (BUL) on Vasco 4 places 1st as he had the only clear round among 21 participants. SIEC Team rider Sevil Sabanci also competed with S.I.E.C. Comet coming out with 4 penalties in time. 2 star show in Romania finished with Grand Prix which is 1.50m height.

S.I.E.C. Team rider Gerry Flynn on 7 year old Mare S.I.E.C. Vita placed 2nd in Youngster Tour (Ceahlau Trophy , 1.35m-140m) on the last day of CSI2*-W at Piatra Neamt (Romania). In the jump-off Gerry finished the course with 4 penalties in 89,58 sec. First place went to Hungary with Zoltan Czesku on Apollo and 3rd place was uccupied by Raishun Burch on Wapse. more...

In order to make contribution in the development of equestrian sports, to give experience to the riders in different environments, S international Equestrian Centre welcomed Gurman Equestrian Sport Club which was the first club returned after the declaration of SIEC for clinics all over Turkey. For three days, in jumping discipline 14 riders with 20 horses trained with the experienced instructor and S.I.E.C. Cedric Triolet.

At CSI 3* Cortina Sevil jumped clear rounds in all three opening competitions. Riding SIEC Oberon in the 1.15m speed class, Sevil finished with a clear round in 13th place.
