ISTANBUL CHAMPIONS OF 2009
One of the most crowded İstanbul championship of all times has completed on Sunday 17th in 7 Categories at S International Equestrian Centre SIEC Team Head Coach and SIEC Team Rider, Gerry Flynn was the ony one who had double clear on both days on 7 years old S.I.E.C. Gold Rush and became the champion of Senior Category in 1.40m among 22 best riders of Istanbul. Last years senior champion and the team member Cagri Basel on S.I.E.C. Lanjaron found his place at 5th rank with total of 8 penalties.

Alper Mehmet Sozkesen on Quibel finished the final in 63,83 sec with a clear round and won the D Category İstanbul Championship.
In D+ category, the final was 120cm and 18 competitiors participated in the final. Only two riders qualified fort he jump of who ara Omer Ersin (IASK) on Ucaranda T and Maya Beard on Venus, both riders coming with a clear round up to the jump-0ff. Omer Ersin got the time stopped at 38,89 sec and grabbed the title of 2009 Children İstanbul Champion.
The 3rd final of the day was for C category; Hakan Kavasoglu on Picola Bela won the Trophy for C Category Final, whereas Berk Atlin on Quaxta won the C Category İstanbul Champion of 2009. One of the most challenging final was in Junior Category where 33 riders were contending fort he title of 2009 Junior Champion of İstanbul Region. Juniors had to cope with 1.30m course designed by Rakshan Radpour. Deniz Berk on Calvin (IASK) won the Final day with a clear round but could not jump in the jump-off due to her 4 penalties from the first day.Only 2 riders, finished the 2 days clear and moved on to the jump-off, Dilara Yurttutan on Dogus Gipsy and SIEC Team rider Burak Azak on S.I.E.C. Dolce Inocenta. Dilara Yurttutan was the winner of the Championship although Burak Azak had the best time in the jump-off but putting a one fence down athat put him at the 2nd place.
At 125cm height, Fadime Gurdal on Tyni Paradise won the championship, the only combination that is clear on the both days. SIEC Team rider Sevil Sabanci on S.I.E.C. Comet was the 3rd best rider of Istanbul Region in B category riders. The prizes were given by Akbank Private Banking Vice Presideny Mr. Fikret Onder.
In Young Rider Final (135cm), Gunes Sarmat on Centurio 15 put his name on the Championship for the 4th time in his career.
Again on the final day, Technomodel made another outstanding show with the model hellicopters.
SIEC is hosting Akbank Private Banking Jumping Turkey Championship 2009 between 22-24 May.
Tomorrow the winners of 2009 Istanbul Championship will be determined after the finals in 7 cat. Today at the first legs of championship riders competed for a clear round and fastest time to keep the chance of getting the title for İstanbul Champion of 2009. SIEC Team had a good start on the opening day of KGCC Winter Festival Finals. SIEC Team rider Gerry Flynn on the young gelding S.I.E.C. In order to make contribution in the development of equestrian sports, to give experience to the riders in different environments, S international Equestrian Centre welcomed Gurman Equestrian Sport Club which was the first club returned after the declaration of SIEC for clinics all over Turkey. For three days, in jumping discipline 14 riders with 20 horses trained with the experienced instructor and S.I.E.C. Cedric Triolet.

SIEC Team rider Gerry Flynn On S.I.E.C. Janico won the biggest cup in Ankara (1.40m) on the last day at the show. In a field of 35 riders, only 6 of them qualified for the jump-off. Gerry Flynn on S.I.E.C. Janico were the last to go in the jump-off and they had a clear round in fastest time (38,7). Sencer Horasan on Mylaan D took the second place in 40, 59 sec and the young rider in SIEC Team Çağrı Başel on S.I.E.C. At CSI 3* Cortina Sevil jumped clear rounds in all three opening competitions. Riding SIEC Oberon in the 1.15m speed class, Sevil finished with a clear round in 13th place.
